Last month I did something I’d never done before: I hired a financial planner.
I’ve been wanting to save up for a new home, but didn’t have a plan. And no plan meant no home.
I went about my days like a lot of people do – I made money and I spent money. I didn’t track it. In fact, I didn’t even know how much I had in my retirement accounts.
And as a result, I was getting nowhere towards my goal of buying a new home.
So I did some research online, and liked what I read about a financial planning company called LearnVest.
Now I know how much money I have in all my accounts.
I track everything I spend. I’m not using my credit cards anymore. And my financial planner gives me weekly and monthly challenges to complete.
She keeps an eye on me. She’s my accountability partner.
My personal trainer keeps an eye on my health and fitness.
My business coaches and mastermind partners keep en eye on my business.
I have accountability partners for various areas of my life.
And you should too. They work, and can help you produce big time results.
Studies have shown that people are MORE successful when held accountable by anyone, then going by their own willpower and self-accountability alone.
If you’re looking for someone to help keep you accountable for your fitness goals, I recommend working with a professional, who’s going to show you some tough love, as well as a mixture of friends/family and online support groups that have your best interest at heart.
Do this one thing, and your results will accelerate.
If I can be of any help to you, just let me know.
